1 film, 3 languages, 1 release date: What Next?

In what could be considered an extremely interesting idea, we could be witnessing a South Indian film releasing in 3 languages on one single release date.
The makers of Drishyam 3 are planning something special. Director Jeethu Joseph wants to release the Malayalam, Hindi, and Telugu versions around the same time. Although all three versions will not be shot together, the goal is to have a near-simultaneous release across languages.
This approach is quite rare and shows how popular the Drishyam series has become in different parts of India.
The Malayalam version, starring Mohanlal, will begin shooting in October 2025. The Hindi version, featuring Ajay Devgn, is also expected to start around the same time. The Hindi release is already scheduled for October 2, 2026, on Gandhi Jayanti.
The Telugu version with Venkatesh will follow a similar timeline. While the actors’ schedules are making it difficult to shoot all versions together, the team is working hard to ensure that the release dates are as close as possible.
Jeethu Joseph is preparing a single core script that will be adapted slightly to fit each language’s culture and audience. The main story will remain the same, keeping the suspense and thrills that Drishyam fans love. This multi-language release plan reflects the strong fan base of the Drishyam franchise across India.
