This entertainer which had Fahadh Fasil playing the lead role minted over 150 crores at the box office. 'Illuminati' song very popular and a lot of memes are coming with Fahadh's expressions from the movie.

The movie is now available on Prime Video and people are curious to see why the film became highly popular and such a success. People are heaping praises on Fahadh Fasil. He plays the role of Ranga in this movie. It is about three college guys who get into a tussle with the seniors due to ragging and seek revenge. They decide to take the help of the famous rowdy Ranga. The story takes several turns from there and Fahadh Fasil begins his one-man show. Jeethu Madhavan who made 'Romancham' is the director of this movie. People who watched this movie were surprised to see this new angle from Fahadh. It may look like a serious drama but has a lot of fun, emotion and thrill packed into one.

To sum up 'Aavesham', it teaches us that being friends with a bad guy is more dangerous than having a rivalry with good people. A lot of Telugu heroes too did negative roles but Fahadh's character Ranga makes you laugh and surprises you at every instance. The director took some time to introduce the characters and it picks up pace only after Ranga arrives on the screen. He lights up every scene with his expressions and dialogues.

Despite the predictability, the movie runs smoothly but the backstory of Ranga character is quite unconvincing. The movie is a rollercoaster ride that is quite enjoyable barring a few lows. Fahadh's whacky character has a lot of mass appeal and his energy is amazing as we mostly see him in a subtle avatar. The rest of the actors did well too especially the guy who played Amban's role was crazy. The technical departments did quite well. The visuals are fine while the lighting looks very natural. The fight sequences were edited quite well and Sushin Shyam's music suited the vibe of the movie. The entertainment quotient is quite high on the movie, especially in the first half.

This hilarious gangster drama works because of its fun quotient. On the flip side, the story is wafer-thin and things look a bit silly in places. The entertainment goes down a bit in the second half. 'Aavesham' is a film that you can happily watch this weekend.
