The one aspect that doesn't get talked about a lot in commercial movies is the cinematography. Most of the audiences presume that all commercial movies need are colorful visuals. But is not the case as acclaimed director KU Mohanan who worked on Bollywood movies like 'Don' and 'Talaash' is arriving with 'Family Star' now. He made his Tollywood debut with 'Maharshi' and during an interview with a media outlet, he revealed some interesting details.

He said, “Yes, usually makers of commercial films try to keep the visuals more vivid and fill it with lots of light. But for 'Family Star' we want to keep the visuals very realistic and have used more lights to make sure that every frame looks more realistic. The color palette and natural visuals add a new beauty to this light-hearted story of a middle class guy.”

Talking about Dil Raju's production and Deverakonda, he stated, “A big production house with whom I've worked earlier, and an actor whom I like pretty much are the reasons to pick Family Star. Of course, the fat paycheck too.”

He gave very good advice while speaking about Telugu cinematographers and room for improvement. He said, “Telugu is currently the biggest industry in India, and churning out great films. However, the other films are being regular. If directors come up with different visions and different storytelling patterns, surely cinematographers will create brand-new visuals. That change should come.”

'Family Star' features Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles. Parasuram is the director while Gopi Sundar is the music composer. This entertainer will be released on 5th April.
