'Family Star' Gets Good Numbers Despite Mixed Talk!

Any film with the 'Geetha Govindham' combo is bound to have high expectations. It happened for 'Family Star' and Dil Raju's brand value added to it as well. When Vijay Deverakonda, Dil Raju and Parasuram met, the movie created a lot of hype. But the audience felt that it 'Family Star' did not meet the expectations.

The bad talk started right from the US premieres. The early morning shows in the Telugu states too did not get a positive response. Thanks to social media, the negativity grew instantly and people started saying that Vijay Deverakonda had another disaster after 'Liger'.

Going by the talk, 'Family Star' cinema halls would have been empty by afternoon. It happened for 'Liger' and things suggest that 'Family Star' should have had the same result. But the solace for the movie's unit is that the occupancy rate in theatres are quite encouraging. The bookings are good for the rest of the shows as well.

We don't know if Vijay's fan following or Dil Raju's brand value or the summer season advantage but the full houses for first shows and night shows are a huge relief for the movie unit. If the movie manages to have the same energy and speed till the end of the week, it may become safe. Let us wait and see what happens.
