Shocking: Cinema director attacked by fans at theatre

Usually, film directors are largely loved by fans and followers if they put up good work. However, on the flipside, there are also consequences for a director if he or she makes controversial and provocative content. The same appears to be the case with this one director called Kiran Tirumalasetty.

Director Kiran recently had a theatrical release in the form of Drinker Sai which had an attention grabbing trailer. The film released at the box office last weekend and it mainly catered to the younger generation of the audience.

However, in a shocking incident that happened after the release, the director of the film, Kiran was attacked by a mob who claimed to be fans of Mantena Satyanarayana. This incident happened when the director was addressing the media in front of a theatre during a theatre visit recently.

This shocking incident has now caught the attention of everyone, while the attackers who claim to be fans of socialist Mantena say they have a handful to the director for distorting they image of Mantena Satyanarayana in the film.

In response to this incident, the director confirmed that it wasn’t his intention to hurt the feelings of any person or a group. He said what happened was very unfortunate

Whatever might be the reason, physically abusing, and attacking a person is not the right practice in the social fabric, and such incidents must be condemned unconditionally. And at the same time, it is not right to provoke a group through film medium by including problematic scenes.
