In recent times, when Hyderabadi heroine Faria Abdullah turned up at a Bonalu event, dressed up as a proper Telangana woman, and danced to the teenmar beats, a lot of outrage happened on the internet as some people questioned her as to how she could do that being a Muslim woman. And that led to her outburst on the internet, where she put up a video. In an emotional tone and with a tearful face, Faria stated that she’s a practising Muslim but respects every religion.

The other day, at the press meet interaction for the Sigma movie, Faria was asked to respond about the problems she is facing on social media for being herself. “Social media is just a platform to express opinions, and even I do the same”, she said. However, about the controversy, she added, “We are in 2026, but the mindset still exists in the past. I was a little taken aback by the orthodox ideologies, as I come from a forward and progressive thinking mindset. But people are different in terms of thought process, and that’s okay with me,” she says, dismissing the whole controversy quite gracefully.

Well, that’s how you carry things with composure, because responding to a controversy that will have a never-ending debate is not even useful to any celebrity, and we have to say that Faria Abdullah did a good job.
