'Fighter' Gets 100 Crores In Two Days!
They were impressed by the emotional core, strong supporting characters and well-choreographed fighter jet sequences.
Prior to the release, Hrithik Roshan's 'Fighter' did not have a lot of buzz as people thought it was another action thriller that showcases the hero fighting against the Pakistan army just like 'Pathaan' or 'Tiger 3'. Also, Siddharth Anand's films follow a specific template and people expected the movie to be another high-budget action ride with Hrithik carrying the film on his shoulders.
But people were surprised to see the strong content in the movie. They were impressed by the emotional core, strong supporting characters and well-choreographed fighter jet sequences. Though it was Hrithik Roshan doing most of the heavy lifting and stealing the show with his charisma, he was ably supported by Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor and others. As said before, it did not carry a lot of hype prior to the release which is why it got only 24.6 crores nett on the first day in India.
But the positive talk helped the film in getting more footfalls on the second day. The advance bookings increased rapidly and the movie witnessed huge collections on Day 2. On Friday, 'Fighter' earned 41.2 crores nett. In two days, the movie minted a sum of 65.80 crores and gross is over 100 crores. By the end of the weekend, the movie is expected to collect a share of over 150 crores as per reports. It looks like the long weekend is also working in the favour of 'Fighter'.
