Why Is 'Gadar 2' A Bigger Hit Than 'Jawan'?

Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan's action entertainer 'Jawan' which was released on 7th September has collected over 900 crores gross worldwide already and it is all set to hit the 1000 crore mark soon. It is likely to beat his last film 'Pathaan' too and become Bollywood's biggest hit.

'Gadar 2' has released in August and became an unexpected hit. The movie has collected 522 crores worldwide till date and no one believed that it would earn so much during the time of its release. Sunny Deol never had a 100 crore film till date and he was not even considered a big star after 2010. But the movie turned out to be a blockbuster and took everyone by surprise.

While SRK is India's biggest star and 'Jawan' released with a huge hype all over the nation, 'Gadar 2' did not have all those. Also, 'Jawan' was dubbed in many languages while Sunny Deol's film was just released in Hindi. While 'Jawan' may end up being the biggest hit in Bollywood and earn over 1000 crores, 'Gadar 2' is a bigger success considering its budget and the huge profits it earned.

It is still running in some theatres and we need to see how far the film goes. Mithoon composed the music while Najeeb Khan is the cinematographer. Shaktimaan Talwar is the writer while Monty Sharma gave the background score. Apart from Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma, actors like Manish Wadhwa, Gaurav Chopra and Luv Sinha play crucial roles. Anil Sharma is the movie's director.
