Strange Case: Film Was Hyped, But Reviews Very Weak!
These days, it has become extremely common for film makers to hype up their film to a whole new degree altogether, just to bring some sort of attention from the public. But there are times when this backfires badly.
These days, it has become extremely common for film makers to hype up their film to a whole new degree altogether, just to bring some sort of attention from the public. But there are times when this backfires badly.
A similar scenario is being observed in the case of the recently released Hindi film Gajab Raat, which has extremely talented Manoj Bajpai in the lead role. This is a Netflix original production, and it has been made available for streaming since yesterday.
Essentially speaking, Gajab Raat is a Hindi-language crime thriller film directed by Ritesh Shah and stars Manoj Bajpayee, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Saqib Saleem, Divya Dutta, Kiku Sharda, Shraddha Das & Rajiv Gupta.
The film revolves around this one big decision that is being made by a top cop in Delhi, who is extremely corrupt by nature. This role is played by Manoj while the rest of the supporting roles are played by the mentioned actors above.
The film was hyped up very well by Netflix and also the makers as they said it would unfold regarding the series of events that happened in one single night in the streets of Delhi.
But it turns out to be that this was literally nothing as the film has opened very weak reviews, and it is being lambasted by the audience for its lacklustre narrative. Many people are commenting that the film does not have any thrills or positive reinforcement on the audience with regard to the narrative or the structuring.
Netflix, original productions usually have some sort of a value and there might be similar positive pieces about this film as well, but at large, it has failed to entertain the audience to the fullest.
