Game Changer In 2 Days: What’s The Theatrical Business?
Game Changer which is officially releasing in theatres on January 10.
In exactly 2 days from now, Ram Charan will be making a grand come back on the big screens with his upcoming film, Game Changer which is officially releasing in theatres on January 10. Ahead of the release, let us have a look at the business side of things as this Raju production venture registered some pretty good business.
Firstly, if we look at the theatrical business of the film in the Telugu states, the film has a whopping Rs 122 crores riding on it. Considering the Sankranti festival season is an advantage and the combination factor of Charan and Shankar producer, Dil Raju sold the film for huge prices all over. The valuation got greatly appreciated as the film is now valued at ₹122 crore.
This is the highest pre-release business done by Charan(solo hero) in his career till now. Overall, this is the sixth highest theatrical business done for a Telugu film till date.
Interestingly, enough Game Changer has done more theatrical business, then recently release Devara, which had Charan’s RRR co-star NTR in the lead role. What this also means is that the film will have to pull through additional baggage, in order to recover the massive investments that are in place.
Coming to the openings, Charan’s previous film Acharya, which was also a MultiStar opened in the range of ₹29 crore share in the Telugu states. It has to be seen where Game Changer will end up now.
This is going to be a clear litmus test for the box office potential of Ram Charan, considering the fact that this is his immediate release after RRR.
