Will Audiences Accept These Different Types of Telugu Movies?

Telugu cinema is changing with time obviously. Mostly most big heroes are now focusing on pan India films, action stories, and large-scale projects. But at the same time, there are some filmmakers who are trying to bring different stories to the audience. But the main question is whether audiences will accept these different types of movies.

There is no rule that only action films, commercial entertainers or big-budget movies can become successful in telugu industry. Because a film with a simple story can also win the hearts of audiences if the director presents it in an interesting way. Strong emotions, natural characters and good story can make a small film a big success.

Balagam kind of movies is one of the best examples of this. The film was made with a simple village based story and showed the importance of family relationships and traditions. It did not depend on huge action scenes or a big star. Instead, its emotional content connected with audiences. The film received a good response because people could relate to the characters and their lives.

Now another different film Garividi Lakshmi, is preparing to reach theatres on October 17. The film is based on the life of Garividi Lakshmi, a famous Burra Katha performer from North Andhra. Anandhi plays the lead role in this movie. The film focuses on folk arts, village culture, a woman's self-respect and her struggles.

This is a different subject compared to the regular commercial films that Telugu audiences often watch. The trailer has already created some interest but its box office result will depend tiagllh on how well the film connects with viewers.

The younger generation may not be very familiar with traditional folk arts and the lives of folk performers. But that does not mean they will reject such stories. If the director presents the subject with strong emotions and an engaging screenplay the the audiences may show interest.

The success of Balagam has already proved that Telugu audiences are ready to watch different stories when filmmakers present them well. The same possibility exists for Garividi Lakshmi.

So if this film also becomes hit at box office, then there will be more chances for small directors to pick creative stories and to do a films like this.
