Many Telugu folks are now drawing conclusions that the poster of “God Of War” might affect the chances of Suriya’s “Viswanathan and Sons” at the Tamil box office. Because both the films have the same producers making them out. As these discussions are looming in Telugu states now, what exactly is happening in Tamil Nadu is the question now.
Produced by Sithara Entertainments’ Naga Vamsi and directed by Venky Atluri, “Viswananathan and Sons” is the first ever direct Telugu film featuring Suriya in the lead. Initially, the plan was to cater to Suriya’s Telugu market only. However, after the success of “Veerabhadrudu” in Tamil, which grossed more than ₹300 crores from the Tamil box office alone, the makers of Viswanathan and Sons are planning big for their release on August 14th in Telugu as well as Tamil. Now people are worried if “God Of War” will affect it, but in fact, it won’t.
Reason is that while Viswanathan and Sons is produced by Sithara Entertainment, God Of War is produced by Haarika & Haasini. Naga Vamsi is just promoting the film, but that doesn’t mean he’s the creative brain behind it. On the other hand, Suriya’s original charm and Venky Atluri’s content have to work, but otherwise, why would Tamil folks ignore their own star’s movie? For now, there’s no such thing as a God of War affecting Suriya’s film and so on.
