Encouraging Start For 'Hanu-Man' In Hindi Belt!

Prasanth Varma's 'Hanu-Man' has released this Friday and got off to a fantastic start at the box office. The super positive talk through the paid premiers made people step into the theatres in many areas. The footfalls are highly encouraging and it is getting good collections from the domestic market as well as the overseas areas. The impressive content and good reviews have majorly helped the movie.

The team were very confident about getting a good response from the Hindi belt and it is what happened. They are loving the movie and it got off to an encouraging start by collecting 2.15 crores nett on the first day in the North. The makers did not promote the film heavily in the North barring a press meet and a couple of interviews. The lack of star appeal should also be considered. But the rave reviews and the Hindu mythological touch is dragging the film into theatres and the numbers are sure to increase with each passing day.

Considering the fact that 'Karthikeya 2' got only 30 lakhs on the first day, 'Hanu-Man' got a very good start and it has more than 10 days of free run in the North market before Hrithik Roshan's 'Fighter' hits the screens. 'Dunki' and 'Salaar' have come to the end of their theatrical run and trade experts expect the film to register big numbers especially with the Hindutwa mood gripping North India because of the Ayodhya temple opening. Let us wait and see how big 'Hanu-Man' becomes.
