Most anticipated film of the season, Powerstar’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh, is getting ready to hit cinemas on a big scale on March 19th in the Telugu states. Already, the film got censored with a U/A certificate, and the response coming from the Censor Board is also amazing. Amidst these positive signs, director Harish Shankar, on the other hand, is blasting a lot of fireworks through these interviews.

One of the major accusations that Harish Shankar faced a couple of times when the teasers and other glimpses of Ustaad Bhagat Singh came out, are nothing but he himself was acting as a dupe of Powerstar. Ever since the video of director Boyapati Sreenu appearing as a dupe of hero Ram Pothineni in Skanda has come out, these types of allegations have become quite common on social media. And now, they say that all the backshots of PK in Ustaad are actually shot on Harish only.

Clarifying about the same, the director said, “I’ve not acted as a dupe for Pawan Kalyan garu, and the Powestar himself never takes any body doubles to finish any scene. Though I’ve felt happy that fans are comparing me to Powerstar from the back, there’s no question of someone standing as a body double for him”. Thus, the myth of Pawan using dupes for these backshots has been debunked now.

Also, Harish Shankar stated that in the film industry, body doubles will be used because in some action sequences, if a hero gets seriously injured, then that would force the shooting schedules to be rescheduled, resulting in a heavy loss to the producer. He felt that using a body double is not wrong in action sequences, as stuntman body doubles would be quicker in such scenes.
