It is well known that Rana Daggubati wanted to make a project on 'Hiranyakashyap' for a really long time. He and Gunasekhar were supposed to make it together but the project did not move forward. Rana released the sketch of 'Hiranyakashyap' at Comic-Con and stunned everyone as people noticed that the senior director's name is not involved.

The 'Okkadu' director made a cryptic tweet suggesting that he gave the 'base story' but Rana is keeping him aside. Recently, the concept sketch video of 'Hiranyakashyap' got released and we can see that the makers gave a lot of details regarding the project. Trivikram will be giving the screenplay and dialogues as announced and Rana included 'Amar Chitra Katha' as one of the project's producers. This indicates that the story belongs to the book publisher but not Rana or Gunasekhar.

As we know, 'Amar Chitra Katha' came up with 'Prahlad' back in 1973 and this comic book was very popular at that time. Rana & Co is now making it into a movie with top-notch visual effects. The story is expected to be narrated from the angle of 'Hiranyakashyap' who is the father of Prahlada and it is aware that he gets killed by lord Narasimha.

Gunasekhar cannot claim that it is his story if the book's publisher gets the credit. It is a clever move by Rana and his team. Also, the story belongs to ancient Hindu scriptures which makes it accessible to everyone.
