Cinema is like a high-speed train, sometimes it reaches its destination, sometimes it derails despite all the tracks being laid perfectly. Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan recently opened up about the box office disappointment of War 2, his high-profile action film with Jr. NTR. Released on August 14, the movie was part of Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe and had immense hype, especially with NTR joining the franchise to appeal to Telugu audiences. Yet, negative reviews in Tollywood and elsewhere affected its performance, leaving it far behind expectations.

Hrithik shared his feelings on social media, reflecting on his experience during the shoot. “Playing Kabir in War 2 was pure joy. I enjoyed every moment on the sets, knowing my role completely. My director Ayan Mukerji was full of energy, which made working so easy. I believed that finishing my work well would make the film a success. But sometimes, no matter how hard you try, things don’t go as planned. Every film doesn’t have to be trauma, sometimes, it’s about enjoying the process,” Hrithik wrote. His post reveals his calm professionalism and love for acting, even when the final outcome doesn’t meet expectations.

Financially, the movie had some trouble. It was made with a budget of 400 crore rupees, but War 2 made only 236.55 crore rupees, which is less than the original War from 2019 that earned 318.01 crore rupees. Even with big names, exciting action scenes, and a popular movie series, the film didn’t really grab people’s attention, showing that even movies with a lot of money can’t always succeed.
