Social Media Sensation Kurchi Thatha Passes Away

Social media personality Sheikh Mohammad Pasha, popularly known as “Kurchi Thatha,” passed away on Wednesday in Hyderabad. He was 64 years old. His sudden death has left many fans and social media followers in deep sadness.

Kurchi Thatha became famous across Telugu states with his viral dialogue “Kurchi Madathapetti.” The dialogue became very popular on social media platforms and turned him into an internet sensation overnight. Later, many people started calling him “Kaala Pasha” and “Kurchi Thatha.”

According to reports, Pasha collapsed near Krishna Kanth Park in Yusufguda on Tuesday afternoon because of the heavy heat in Hyderabad. He reportedly lost consciousness on the road. A YouTuber named Vizag Satya shifted him safely to his home. However, his health became worse on Wednesday evening. His wife Asia Sultana emotionally revealed that he died in her lap.

Pasha originally belonged to Warangal. Around 40 years ago, he moved to Hyderabad and settled in Rahmath Nagar. He lived a simple life for many years before becoming popular through YouTube interviews and social media videos. During one interview, he casually used the dialogue “Kurchi Madathapetti,” and the clip quickly went viral online.

His popularity increased further after the dialogue was used in a song from Guntur Kaaram starring Mahesh Babu. After that song became a hit, Kurchi Thatha received even more recognition among movie lovers and meme creators.

Reports say that Pasha had been facing health problems for some time. He was also reportedly struggling with alcohol addiction, which affected his health badly in recent years.

Kurchi Thatha is survived by his wife, three sons, and one daughter. Many social media influencers, YouTubers, and fans are now sharing emotional posts and condolence messages remembering his funny dialogue and unique style.
