It’s Official! Indian Part 3 Release Details Revealed!
The same actor-director team returned for the film's 26-year sequel, Indian 2, which was produced by Red Giant Movies and Lyca Productions.
In 1996, Kamal Haasan and filmmaker Shankar collaborated on the first Indian film, which was a huge hit. It created a sensation and is regarded as one of the most famous movies in Indian cinema, having been produced by AM Ratnam. The same actor-director team returned for the film's 26-year sequel, Indian 2, which was produced by Red Giant Movies and Lyca Productions. However, Indian 2, which came out last year, was a huge box office failure in contrast to the original movie.
Meanwhile, Ram Charan starred in Shankar's debut Telugu film, Game Changer, which was recently a success. This hugely expensive film, which debuted during Sankranthi, is doing brilliantly right now all around the world. Shankar has stated in an interview that he intends to concentrate on Indian 3. The team is working hard to complete everything within six months, he said, even if several parts of the movie still need to be shot.
Shankar also provided developments on Velpari, a historical drama, another huge endeavor. The three-part film will be based on a novel by Madurai MP S. Venkatesan. He stressed that although Indian 3 is still his first goal right now, he is excited to make Velpari a reality shortly after.
Regretfully, Indian 2 was one of the biggest failures in Indian film history. The film only made ₹73 crores in net revenues, falling well short of its break-even objective of ₹172 crores, causing huge financial losses. Similar to this, Bharathiyudu 2 in Telugu only made ₹13 crores, leaving a ₹12 crore loss, despite aiming for a break-even of ₹25 crores. Fans still hold out hope that Indian 3 would restore the franchise's magic in spite of this setback.
