“Irumudi is the most intense and serious family film in the Telugu film industry. It’s a seriously serious film. The emotional experience, the seriousness of the film, the performances given by all the lead actors, are going to live with you forever”, said Shiva Nirvana the other day, at the launch of the Mallepoola Pallaki song from Raviteja’s Irumudi movie. However, these tall claims these days are mostly failing to click at the box office, and that’s what film enthusiasts are pointing out now.

“A father should give freedom to his daughter, and then make her understand that she should tell everything to his father. Through that daughter, we have showcased the problems of other daughters,” says Shiva Nirvana, further adding, “The film is not an Ayyappa Swamy backdrop story, but we took the Ayyappa backdrop only for the sake of the story. The story wouldn’t be like my previous movies like Majili and Ninnu Kori”.

All these statements are fine, but the film should be really the best and engaging unlike Raviteja’s recent movies that have routine content and failed to enthral the audience. While the plot points, the trailer and the songs are catchy in most of his films, his presence and the story are turning into routine fare. Hope Shiva Nirvana worked out that part and makes sure that his claims come true.

Irumudi is hitting cinemas on August 21st, and features Raviteja, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Baby Swasika, Ajay Ghosh and Sai Kumar in the principal characters.
