Is Prabhas Charging 150 Crores For Magnum Opus 'Kalki'?

'Kalki 2898 AD' is the Costliest movie made in India. Ashwini Dutt and his daughters Priya and Swapna have produced this film on a grand scale. Apparently, they spent over 600 crores. They initially thought of finishing the film below 500 crores but the budget escalated as the days progressed.

Looking at the trailers, one can understand what the money is spent on. Apparently, the production costed 450 crores to the makers and the rest went to the remuneration of lead actors including Prabhas. Sources say that the 'Mirchi' hero has been handed a remuneration of 150 for this film.

Considering Prabhas' image and market along with the effort he put in for this film, the remuneration is justified and big names like Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika were given 20 crores each and the rest were also paid handsomely. The business of 'Kalki 2898 AD' is also huge.

The theatrical rights were sold for 600 crores across the country. The OTT rights and satellite rights are expected to be huge as well and reports claim that around 1000 crores of pre-release business wad done. Let us wait and see how this pan-Indian film turns out to be on 27th June.
