Is Splitting Jr NTR's 'Devara' into Two Parts a Wise Choice?

The highly anticipated Telugu film 'Devara' is set to release in two parts, featuring Jr NTR in the lead role, marking his first movie after the international hit 'RRR.' Alongside him, the movie stars Saif Ali Khan and Jhanhvi Kapoor.

Director Koratala Siva announced on social media that 'Devara' would come out in two installments, with the first part hitting theaters on April 5th next year. The reason they're doing this is because they believe the story is so big and important that it wouldn't be fair to squeeze it all into one movie. They want to explore the characters and plot more deeply, so they decided to split it in to two parts.

This could be a smart move, like what we saw in movies like 'K.G.F' and 'Baahubali.' They made a lot of money by splitting their stories into two parts. With a great cast and a director promising an exciting plot, 'Devara' might do well at the box office. Dividing it with an interesting cliffhanger, like 'Baahubali' did, could be a good idea.

However, there's a risk as well. If they take a story that could fit in a two-hour movie and stretch it into two big, expensive films, it might get boring. Whether this strategy succeeds or not depends on whether there's enough substance in the story to fill two movies.

While some films like 'Ponniyin Selvan' benefit from being split into multiple parts due to their complexity, we lack sufficient information about 'Devara's plot to determine if it truly merits two separate movies
