Known to be the Wizard of words, Trivikram Srinivas has made his mark in Tollywood both as a writer and director. His trademark style brought him a lot of fame and appreciation. The touching dialogues in his films along with the witty one-liners make his films very special to the family audiences. Called as 'Guruji' by a lot of people, Trivikram earned a lot of respect from Telugu movies. But his magic is slowly fading away and his latest outing 'Guntur Karam' is a big example of it. His mark is completely missing in this Sankranti entertainer.

'Guntur Karam' is the third film under Mahesh and Trivikram's combination. Irrespective of the result, 'Athadu' and 'Khaleja' are termed classics and they are considered still engaging and entertaining even after decade into their release. Fans term it as classics too. Trivikram's mark is completely evident in those films but he failed badly in 'Guntur Karam'. People who watched the film complained that it looks like a regular commercial film but not a Trivikram mark movie at all.

Trivikram mark doesn't mean unique story with a lot of twists and turns. The ace writer-director is known for his quality fun and touching emotions. That is nowhere to be seen in 'Guntur Karam'. It is Mahesh who saved the film with his energy and dances. He did 100% justice to the role given to him and it is due to him that the movie earned as much as it did till now. He is the savior of 'Guntur Karam' without a hint of doubt.

Right from his first directorial venture 'Nuvve Nuvve', Triivkram never failed in both writing and directing departments. Despite the commercial results, his movies were liked by the audience. Barring a few copy allegations, even 'Agnyathavaasi' is considered a movie with Trivikram's touch. But it is not the case with 'Guntur Karam'. Barring a few sparks here and there, people may find it difficult to accept that it is a Trivikram movie.

Apart from showing Mahesh in an energetic way, Trivikram failed in every other aspect. This is why a lot of people are targeting Trivikram and criticizing him a lot. He was considered one among Tollywood's Top 3 directors. Rajamouli, Sukumar and Trivikram are termed as the best in Tollywood for a long time. But it looks like Trivikram is slipping down these days. While the other two are growing bigger with each passing film, Trivikram is losing his quality and touch according to many. Looks like Trivikram needs to get back in form as quickly as he can if he wants to be considered one of the best.
