Is Thalapathy Vijay Following Megastar Chiranjeevi?
Now a striking resemblance came to light between the films made by Chiranjeevi and Vijay.
Thalapathy Vijay made a grand entry into Tamil Nadu politics recently and announced his political party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam. After the announcement, he is yet to speak to the media. However, he made a big announcement saying that he is quitting films in the wake of his political entry. He will walk away from his film career to focus on politics completely.
This can be seen as a big shock for the star's fans. However, political observers say that this is the correct time for the star to make the best of the political space. Now a striking resemblance came to light between the films made by Chiranjeevi and Vijay. Before political entry, Chiranjeevi made films with a social message. Now Vijay is also doing the same thing.
Currently, Vijay is busy with the GOAT film helmed by Venkat Prabhu. The film is in the shooting stage. Touted to be a different concept, the film is likely to have a social message as well. It is said that Vijay canceled a project with Karthik Subbaraj and gave a nod to H. Vinoth's film. That would be his last film before entering films.
As he is entering politics at an early age, his fans believe that he would see success. However, the political observers wonder how his political moves would be to attract the people in the state. On the other hand, it is said that fans want their matinee idol to continue films till he succeeds in politics.
If Vijay leaves films completely then at least six films would get affected and this includes three sequels too. As Vijay said he will focus more on politics, directors who wanted to work with him are looking at other options reportedly. However Vijay following the path of Megastar and making films with social message caught everyone's attention.
