It is not uncommon for the film industry to come under the radar of the income tax department every now and again. The same thing is happening again today with the IT department, initiating searches at the properties that belong to leading Telugu producers Dil Raju and Mythri Movie Makers.

As per the latest media reports, the IT sleuths are searching the houses that belong to the kin of Dil Raju and also the executives of Mythri Movie Makers.

The IT department is currently searching the houses that belong to Dil Raju, his brother Sirish and sister Hansitha Reddy. This comes just days after Dil Raju, had a busy Sankranthi season with the theatrical releases of Game Changer and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam.

Both these films were marketed as huge hits at the box office while Sankranthi Ki Vasthunnam was actually a big money grosser at the ticket counters. Game Changer had crore of money involved.

On the other hand, we have Mythri Movie Makers who have also come under the radar of the IT department. They recently made Pushpa 2 and marketed it as the biggest hit of all time at the Indian box office.

This appears to have instigated the IT department to check the documents and possibly other evidence leading into the box office claims that the film made.

All in all today has been an event full day for the Tollywood producers with two of the leading production companies coming under the radar of the IT department.
