Ever since the Ram Charan starrer “Peddi” hit cinemas, there’s been huge trolling around the film, with some critics firing that the film has objectified Janhvi Kapoor’s character big time, and director Buchi Babu Sana has exploited her glamorous curves big time. At one point, that has even overshadowed the brilliant acting mettle showcased by Ram Charan. Though the film collected ₹300+ crores already, here is what senior star Jagapathi Babu felt about those critics.

Talking about the same in an interview, Jagapathi Babu stated that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but then, a few of the critics are intentionally painting negativity on the movie by bringing it down. He felt that a few people are deriving sadistic pleasure by talking about the film negatively. “These sadists do everything to affect a film’s run at the box office. While Ram Charan is a rich guy, other people who have worked on the project are not that rich. One should think about the Peddi producer who has invested so much in the project,” said Jagapathi Babu.

“Few people earn in thousands by trolling a film that’s made with crores. It’s nothing but perversion that these people try to affect the movie’s box office performance with their judgment. Peddi is not a bad film; it’s just a deep-rooted film with some typical characters,” he further added. Jagapathi Babu played the role of Appalasoori in the film, and his character brings the mighty twist to the movie at the right time. Even the senior actor has won lots of praises for playing that role quite convincingly.

On the other hand, directors like Ram Gopal Varma are supporting the critics, saying that the moment we sell the ticket to an audience, they are entitled to judge the movie in whichever way they like.
