Did Another Bollywood Star Cameo Get Wasted In Jailer 2?

Generally, when there is a cameo appearance of a big star in a big hero film, there’s a lot of anticipation associated with it. But it appears that Tamil filmmakers have been struggling badly in maintaining this momentum.

Earlier it was the case of Bollywood star Aamir Khan, who made a special appearance in Rajinikanth’s Coolie. This was one of the most trolled appearances in recent years as Aamir was absolutely wasted in a senseless role.

Now we have a similar discussion coming up and this time it involves another Bollywood star, who made a special appearance in Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2.

He is one of the big action heroes in Bollywood and has a dream physic and insane face card. A lot was said about his appearance in this Rajinikanth film and fans expected great things from the same.

But it just so turned out to be that this cameo appearance was just another visual optic to trick the audience. There is no real intent or strong purpose behind the insertion of this character in the film.

The cameo appearance trend itself is getting saturated badly and on top of that, this particular appearance of the Bollywood star was poorly conceived. In fact, a senior Hero from the neighbouring Kannada industry had a much stronger presence on screen and was able to draw a bigger response from the audience than this Bollywood star.

There are certain times when even honest intentions do not deliver the best possible result, and this might be another such incident in this direction. But it needs to be said that Bollywood star are not getting the right kind of commercial presentation in Tamil cinema in recent times.
