Jailer 2 Wants Bollywood More Than Tollywood?

Expectations around Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is getting bigger day by day. The trailer has already created a lot of discussion among fans and one particular spot in the trailer is making everyone go gaga. Fans are now talking about the possible cameo of Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan.

Of course, we have to wait and see whether Hrithik is really part of the film or whether the makers are simply creating excitement with the trailer. But if he is really there in the movie then it can surely give Jailer 2 a good boost in the Bollywood market.

This is also where one interesting point is being discussed. In the first Jailer movie, the makers brought in popular stars from different South industries. The cameos of Shiva Rajkumar from Kannada cinema and Mohanlal from Malayalam cinema became a major talking point. Their appearances were short but they created a lot of excitement.

Now Jailer 2 seems to be taking the same route but in a bigger way. Along with Shiva Rajkumar and Mohanlal, the film is also said to have Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan and Vidya Balan. If all these cameos are confirmed then the film will have representation from Kannada, Malayalam and Bollywood.

But what about Tollywood? That is the widely discussed question now. There is no major Telugu star visible in the trailer. Earlier there were reports that Balakrishna could be a part of the movie. That news created huge excitement among Telugu fans. But now there is no clear sign of Balakrishna in the trailer.

This has made some fans feel that Jailer 2 is giving more importance to Bollywood than Tollywood. Actually there is nothing wrong with bringing Bollywood stars. Hrithik Roshan can for sure bring attention from the Hindi audience and that can help the movie get a bigger market there.

At the same time, Telugu cinema has a very big market for Rajinikanth films. So fans naturally expected a big Telugu star in Jailer 2 as well.

As of now the film carries good expectations in Tollywood. But if there is cameo of Telugu hero then it would have got more value to film in Tollywood for sure. Now we have to see how Telugu audience is going to receive this.
