Who Will Benefit Most This Sankranthi Season?

Sankranthi is always a big season for Telugu cinema. Many films try to release during this time. The festival holidays usually bring good crowds to theatres and this year too there are some interesting releases.

Jailer 2 is one of the major films in the Sankranthi race. The film has a big advantage with the Jailer brand. Rajinikanth has a huge fan base in the Telugu states too. The first Jailer was also a big success, there is already good interest around the sequel.

Jailer 2 can get another advantage this time. Venkatesh films Adarsha Kutumbam in the Sankranthi race. Venkatesh is known for attracting family audiences. His films usually get a good response during festival seasons. His absence can help other films get more attention.

Comrade Kalyan is also expected to be part of the Sankranthi competition. The film has been getting attention with its promotions. It may also get good screens during the festival season. However the competition will be strong.

There are also a few small and medium-budget films coming during the same period. These films may try to use the holiday advantage. But getting good screens will not be easy if the big films arrive as planned.

For Jailer 2 the situation looks quite interesting. The film can get more screens in the Telugu states. It can also get more shows if the initial response is strong. The holiday season can help the film maintain good occupancy for several days.

Venkatesh missing the Sankranthi race is clearly a missed opportunity for his film. A festival release could have helped Aadarsha Kutumbam get strong family audiences. The postponement has now changed the situation.

Still the final result will depend on the content. Big stars and festival holidays can bring the audience on the first day. Good content is needed to keep them coming.
