Naga Vamsi Opts For Hike - Right Move
In fact, in recent times, a few films like Irumudi haven’t opted for a ticket hike, and trade circles are feeling that even Naga Vamsi should have done the same.
Ace producer Naga Vamsi is said to have spent a bomb to bag the theatrical rights of Superstar Rajnikanth’s upcoming film “Jailer 2”. As the film is hitting cinemas on October 15th, on the eve of the Dasara holiday season already commencing, the producer has now approached the Government for ticket hike permission, and many are wondering about this.
In fact, in recent times, a few films like Irumudi haven’t opted for a ticket hike, and trade circles are feeling that even Naga Vamsi should have done the same. But then there is a catch. When the film Irumudi is coming, there are no expectations for the Raviteja starrer owing to the previous flops of the actor. At that time, to attract ticket sales, opting for no-hike is the only option. But that’s not the case with Rajnikanth’s Jailer 2. It will be a hyped moment for the audience, at least in the first weekend, to catch up on a Rajni movie, that too, directed by a proven filmmaker like Nelson, who is known for his comedy timing.
In the wake of Ranabali and other movies in the race of Dasara not opting for hikes, some think that Jailer 2 will get a disadvantage. But in the end, people watch a movie only if it’s good, and people watch Rajnikanth’s movie for at least a week even if it’s not so good. But Jailer 2, surely they might flock, and Naga Vamsi made a proper move in that direction to secure his investment.
