Jana Nayagan Is Only 50% Of Bhagwanth Kesari

One of the biggest flexes regarding CM Joseph Vijay’s upcoming film, Jana Nayagan, which is hitting cinemas on July 23rd in a grand manner, is about it is a remake. However, there are revelations that not all of the film's content is used by director H Vinoth, while Vijay insisted that the female-empowerment angle be enhanced and kept intact. Here’s how much the film is actually ripped from the original Telugu film, Nandamuri Balakrishna and Anil Ravipudi’s superhit movie Bhagavanth Kesari.

Director Vinoth revealed in an interview that only 50% of Jana Nayagan has the original script of Bhagwanth Kesari, while the rest of the things are designed entirely new and fresh. He says that the first half of the movie has 60% of the original Telugu film, while the second half has only 20% of the original movie. After Vijay revealed what he liked in the film, especially those female empowerment scenes, Vinoth retained them, and the rest he wrote originally.

Well, the film was earlier accused of being an election campaign for Vijay, and that’s the reason why its release during the January month of 2026 was withheld by the Censor Board, and the makers have knocked on the doors of the High Court regarding the same. Finally, by the time the clearance for the release came, Vijay had already become Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. And also, people are keen to see how far the new changes, and the film on the whole, will make an impact at the box office.
