For a long time, now, there have been several speculations about Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay’s next film JanaNayagan being the possible remake of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Bhagwant Kesari.

The recently released song from Jana Nayagan, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, has sparked an unexpected debate in film circles. With the Tamil version dropping ahead of the Telugu dubbing, fans quickly drew comparisons between Jana Nayagan and Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari. The reason is that both seem to share a few thematic similarities in their storylines and presentation.

According to reports, director H Vinoth may have taken inspiration from the central plot of Bhagavanth Kesari but reworked it to reflect current social and political issues. Meanwhile, the presence of two female characters is drawing implications to Bhagwanth Kesari, which had Kajal and Sri Leela.

The film’s first single, accompanied by vibrant visuals featuring Pooja Hegde, and Mamitha Baiju, has already created a massive buzz online. While the music has received praise for its energetic composition, the discussion has shifted toward whether Jana Nayagan is an original story or influenced by Kesari.
