Confirm: Vijay Does Not Clash With His Son

From Kollywood circles to political circles, what’s being discussed is the clash between Superstar Vijay and his son Jason Sanjay at the box office. It’s rumoured that July 31st is going to be a clash between Vijay’s long-pending release Jana Nayagan and his son Jason Sanjay’s maiden directorial movie Sigma at the box office. But then, the clash is finally averted.

Vijay’s secretary, Jagadish Palaniswamy, co-producer of Jana Nayagan, confirmed that July 23 is the release date. Vijay’s son Jason’s maiden directorial Sigma is hitting cinemas on July 31. After a long series of hurdles, the CBFC has cleared Jana Nayagan with an ‘A’ certificate, and since then, various rumours have been discussed about the movie’s possible release date. Earlier, July 31st was seen as a good date, but owing to Jason’s film hitting cinemas on the same date, it looks like Vijay’s movie has been advanced.

Now that Jana Nayagan is releasing on the 23rd of July, with not much competition around, surely the film is likely to get a massive opening weekend. Whether the movie will make over ₹300-400 crores and above easily or not is something to be seen. Earlier, there was huge buzz on the movie because Vijay was back then only a film star, and his political opponents started to crush the movie’s chances. Now that Vijay is already the Chief Minister, will Jana Nayagan get some attention?
