Janhvi Kapoor At KWK: Does Talking About Other Actresses Make Talk Shows More Interesting?

Bollywood talk shows are popular because fans love to know more about their favourite stars.

Bollywood talk shows are popular because fans love to know more about their favourite stars. They want to hear about actors' careers, personal experiences, relationships and funny moments. However, many shows seem to depend more on comments about other actors and actresses than on interesting conversations about the guests themselves.

A recent example is Janhvi Kapoor's appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 9. During the show, host Karan Johar asked Janhvi what dating advice she would give to Veer Pahariya. She replied, "Never take her to a concert."

The discussion goes back to December 2025, when Tara Sutaria appeared on stage with singer AP Dhillon during his Mumbai concert. A video showed the singer hugging Tara and giving her a kiss on the cheek. The moment became a major topic of discussion online, with several people questioning Veer's reaction.

However other videos showed Veer cheering during the performance. Both Tara and Veer had also pushed back against the rumours surrounding their relationship. Reports of their separation emerged in January 2026, but neither of them officially confirmed the breakup.

Now, Janhvi's comment has brought the old discussion back into the spotlight. But this raises an important question: Do talk shows really need comments about other actors to become popular.

Bollywood has many talented actors and actresses with interesting stories to share. Their journeys, struggles, career choices and experiences could make for meaningful conversations. Instead, discussions about relationships, breakups and personal controversies often become the main attraction.

There is nothing wrong with celebrities sharing funny opinions or talking openly about their industry. A little humour can make a show entertaining. However repeatedly bringing other celebrities into conversations can create unnecessary speculation and misunderstandings.

Viewers may enjoy such moments for a short time, but talk shows can offer much more than gossip. Talking about other actresses may generate attention but it should not become the only way to keep viewers interested.
