Legendary actress Sridevi hails from Tamil Nadu, though she fluently speaks Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi as well. After starring in Tamil and Telugu films, she made inroads into Bollywood and became a nationwide superstar. Her daughter Janhvi Kapoor, however, made her debut in Hindi films first, and later got the chance to debut in the Telugu industry opposite Jr NTR first. Her second Telugu film is Ram Charan’s Peddi. Janhvi Kapoor has many times flaunted her Tamil roots and even showcased her ancestral Chennai home to lots of YouTube channels as well. Finally, Janhvi is home now, as she is getting ready to make her debut in a Tamil film for the very first time. Reports are coming that in the upcoming film of Dhruv Vikram, where they have initially thought of roping in Rukmini Vasanth as the leading lady, they have finally got Janhvi Kapoor. While Rukmini would bring more of a South Indian appeal to the film, they say that Janhvi’s addition will get a local feeling for Tamil audiences and a national appeal for the project due to her Bollywood diva image.

On the other hand, many beauties who come from Delhi and Mumbai, like Kriti Sanon, Taapsee, and others, usually debut in South films to get exposure, and then go making big in Bollywood, but will never return to the South industries. Janhvi, on the contrary, is enjoying her stardom in all the tinsel towns as she’s handling all of the tinsel towns equally. Looks like she’s on the path, like her mother, to become the biggest superstar in the country.
