Janhvi Urged to Focus on Tollywood over Bollywood by this Director

Janhvi Kapoor has been juggling Bollywood for years now, right from her Dhadak days in 2018. But honestly, the last 2–3 years haven’t gone her way. One flop after another, Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, Param Sundari, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, even with the support of big banners like Dharma and Maddock, nothing really clicked.

Funny enough, Tollywood seems to be treating her better than her own home turf. Devara: Part 1 turned into a massive blockbuster, and now she’s teamed up with Ram Charan for Peddi. The first song Chikiri Chikiri is already everywhere… you can’t escape it even if you want to.

But here’s the twist. Odela 2 director Ashok Teja casually dropped a comment that ruffled a few feathers. He said Janhvi should actually stick to Tollywood because she already has strong backing here, plus the goodwill she gets from being Late Sridevi’s daughter. And honestly, Sridevi’s craze in the 90s in Telugu states was no joke. According to him, that leftover affection will push Janhvi much further here than in Bollywood.

Janhvi’s fans didn’t take it well. Some felt he crossed a line, others said he shouldn’t be deciding her career path. But if you look at the pattern… he’s not entirely wrong.
