Janhvi Bags Another Failure Before 'Devara'!

Despite her unwavering efforts to score a commercial hit with a female-centric flick, young actress Janhvi Kapoor is facing one setback after another. She did 'Gunjan Saxena' which was released directly on Netflix. Her performance was criticised a lot though the movie was good. Later, she played the lead in movies like 'Milli', 'Roohi' and 'Good Luck Jerry' which ended up as failures.

As we know, she is working on 'Devara' which is the biggest project of her career till now. NTR is the lead and she plays the role of Thangam in the movie. The second song which is a romantic duet will be coming out on 5th August while the film will be coming out on 27th September. Prior to this pan-Indian release, Janhvi made another attempt at scoring a commercial hit in Hindi with 'Uljah'.

This spy thriller did not create a lot of buzz and the expectations were quite low before the release. Despite that, 'Uljah' managed to disappoint the viewers. It received bad reviews and Bollywood analyst Taran Adarsh said termed it 'Uninteresting'. He gave 1.5 stars out of 5 and said, “Attempts to blend thrills and suspense, but it neither surprises nor engages… The plot had potential, but clichés and predictable twists spoil the show… #JanhviKapoor and #GulshanDevaiah's performances stand out in this otherwise uninteresting narrative.”

This spy thriller has Roshan Matthew, Gulshan Devayya and others playing key roles. Sudhanshu Sariya is the director of this film which was supposed to be released in July but got postponed due to 'Kalki 2898 AD' effect.
