Jan 1st Releases: Veteran Blockbuster Giving Tough Fight To Small Films

The first day of January 2026 is shaping up to be an exciting start to the year for Telugu, with some young heroes trying to prove their mettle on the very first day itself. However, as these young heros and their small budgeted films are likely to make a mark, a veteran blockbuster jumped into the race, thus giving them a tough fight.

Kicking off the year on January 1st, 2026, a variety of films, including the hyped Psyche Siddhartha that features anchor-actor Nandu, are hitting the cinemas. On the same day, another film titled Vanara, which has a newcomer in the lead, but Nandu playing the antagonist, is also hitting the cinemas. Though some other movies are also hitting cinemas, the re-release of Nuvvu Naaku Nachhav on Jan 1st is actually stunning all of them.

For the kind of success Nuvvu Naaku Nachhaav enjoys for its comedy, songs, Venky’s dialogues, Sunil’s punches, and Trivikram’s sentimental magic, this Vijay Bhaskar directorial is getting more attention, though its a re-release. Though the film is getting re-released 25 years after the original, it still has the same charm that it had back then. That’s what worries the new films a bit, and a tough fight ensued at the box office.

On the other hand, Venky’s other film, Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu, is also hitting just two weeks after Nuvvu Naaku Nachhav re-release, giving a double treat for fans.
