Jason Sanjay Reveals How Father Vijay Supported Him

Jason Sanjay, son of Tamil actor and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay, is currently in the news for his upcoming directorial debut. Jason is making his first film as a director with Sigma, which stars Sundeep Kishan in the lead role. The movie is produced by Lyca Productions, while Thaman is composing the music.

As part of the film’s promotions, Jason Sanjay has been giving interviews and talking about his journey into cinema. In one of his recent interviews, he opened up about his parents and explained how his father Vijay supported his decision to study filmmaking.

Jason said that his interest in cinema started at a young age because of his father’s career. He often visited shooting locations and slowly developed a strong interest in filmmaking.

"Since my father Vijay was in cinema, I was interested in cinema from a young age, including going to shootings," Jason said.

He also revealed that when he decided to study cinema abroad, Vijay did not stop him or question his decision. Instead, his father encouraged him to explore filmmaking and supported his plans.

"When I told my father that I wanted to go abroad and study cinema-related courses after I grew up, he showed no hesitation. He was the first person to give me the green signal," Jason shared.

Jason said, Vijay understood his interest because he himself had spent many years in the film industry. His father wanted him to learn more before deciding what exactly he wanted to do in cinema.

"My father, besides my sister, was the first to realize this and say okay. He was happy to know that there are many courses related to cinema. So, he said, 'You go and study, only then will you know what you like.' My father was supportive of me," Jason said.

Jason also spoke warmly about his mother Sangeeta. He said that even though he has grown up, she still treats him like a child. He added that his busy work schedule has reduced the amount of time he spends talking to her.

"No matter how much I grow up, my mother still sees me as a child," Jason said.

He further explained that Sangeeta continues to encourage him whenever he feels tired because of work. Jason also values her opinion about his films and is eager to know what she thinks about Sigma.

"I give importance to my mother’s opinions on matters related to cinema. I am curious to know what she has to say about this film," he added.

With Sigma, Jason Sanjay is now preparing to begin a new chapter in his career as a filmmaker. His first film has already created interest among movie lovers, especially because of his family background and the support he has received from his parents.
