The launch of a star kid often comes with expectations, but the team behind Sreenivasa Mangapuram believes Ghattamaneni Jaya Krishna is arriving with much more than a famous surname. The grandson of Superstar Krishna and nephew of Mahesh Babu is stepping into Telugu cinema with Sreenivasa Mangapuram directed by Ajay Bhupathi, produced by Gemini Kiran, and presented by Ashwini Dutt.
At an interaction with the media, the film’s cast and crew shared their excitement about introducing Jaya Krishna and leading lady Rasha Thadani to audiences.
Director Ajay Bhupathi revealed that the project immediately appealed to him because of the people involved and the story’s uniqueness. According to him, Jaya Krishna carries several qualities that made Krishna a beloved star. He praised the debutant’s dedication, confidence, and ability to command attention on screen. Ajay also disclosed that Sreenivasa Mangapuram travels through two distinct worlds, a detail that will be explored further in the film’s promotional material. Confident about the musical album as well, he stated that all six songs were shot amid natural outdoor locations, adding visual richness to the narrative.
K Raghavendra Rao recalled the long-standing bond between the Ghattamaneni family and Vyjayanthi Movies. Having witnessed the success of films featuring Krishna and later Mahesh Babu, he expressed happiness at seeing Jaya Krishna continue the legacy. He particularly appreciated the film’s title, songs, and traditional aesthetic, humorously wishing that its collections grow as abundantly as the offerings received by Lord Srinivasa from devotees.
For Jaya Krishna, the film represents both a responsibility and an opportunity. He shared that the script instantly impressed him when Ajay Bhupathi narrated it, convincing him that the role would test his abilities and help him establish his own identity. Thanking Ashwini Dutt for backing his debut, he described the association as meaningful given the producer’s history with his grandfather Krishna and uncle Mahesh Babu. He also acknowledged Mahesh Babu’s constant encouragement and guidance throughout his journey.
