The political fever is slowly gripping the Telugu states. The AP politics are hot as ever and the national elections are also looming large. With the general elections likely to happen in April 2024, a lot of propaganda films will be hitting the screens. While there are movies like 'Vyuham' and 'Yatra 2' arriving in the Telugu states, other films like 'Main Atal Hoon' are releasing in Hindi.

As we know, 'Yatra' was highly successful and 'Yatra 2' is arriving on 8th February. The teaser and trailer have generated a lot of hype on this movie. While the first part focused on how late YS Rajasekhar Reddy's 'Paada Yatra' helped him win the 2004 elections, the second film will not just focus on YSR but also showcase the rise of current AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

'Rangam' fame Jiiva is playing the role Jagan's role in the movie and he did a wonderful job in getting the AP Chief Minister's body language spot on. Talking about playing the role of an influential person, Jiiva said, “Although I loved Jagan Anna's journey, I was very hesitant to take up the film. He's such an influential figure, and there's a lot of risk involved in playing such roles. If I don't do complete justice, my career can go bonkers.” This is not Jiiva's first time playing a real-life character as he reprised the role of Krishnamacharya Srikanth in Bollywood flick '83'.

Mahesh Manjrekar played the role of Chandra Babu Naidu while Mammootty will be seen once again as YS Rajasekhar Reddy. Suzanne Bernert is seen as Sonia Gandhi while Ketaki Narayan is also a part of this movie. Santosh Narayanan is the music composer while Madhie is the director of photography. Shravan Katikaneni is the editor while Selva Kumar is the editor. Shiva Meka produced this film under Three Autumn Leaves & V Celluloid banners.
