The Dragon teaser featuring Jr NTR surprised many fans because it looked very different from regular birthday teasers. Usually, Indian film teasers released for star birthdays mainly focus on hero elevations and mass moments. But director Prashanth Neel chose a completely different path.

Instead of showing only action scenes and hero shots, the teaser first introduced the world, time period, and atmosphere of the movie. The teaser had a documentary-like feel showing British-era settings, violence, and dark visuals before finally revealing NTR.

Prashanth Neel explained that this decision was completely intentional. He said audiences today are more interested in stories than just hero elevations. According to him, people now want to understand the world and drama before entering theaters.

The director also said that in older times filmmakers used to hide the story completely. But now things have changed. He pointed out that Hollywood films often reveal a lot about the story in trailers while still keeping audiences excited.

Neel said Dragon has many layers and complex drama. Because of that, he wanted to first explain the world of the film. He compared it to showing the stadium and pitch conditions before a cricket match begins.

He also revealed that this approach will help future trailers become more emotional and dramatic because audiences already understand the background of the story.

The dark tone, historical backdrop, and mysterious characters have already increased expectations on the film.
