The team of the upcoming Telugu film Dragon recently faced an unexpected situation because of rising tensions in the Middle East. The movie stars Jr NTR and is directed by Prashanth Neel. A few weeks ago, the film unit travelled to Jordan to shoot important action scenes.
At first, the Jordan schedule was planned to continue till the first week of March. However, due to sudden political and military tension between Iran and Israel, the situation in nearby regions became unsafe. Because of this, the Indian Embassy also advised Indian citizens in Jordan to be alert and return if possible.
Thankfully, the Dragon team did not face any trouble. Director Prashanth Neel had already completed the planned scenes earlier than expected. As per reports, the last schedule was finished by February 25. Jr NTR completed his portions and returned to India on February 26. If the team had stayed longer, they might have faced serious problems due to the growing tensions.
The makers decided not to take any risk and wrapped up the overseas shoot quickly. Sources say that now only India-based shooting is left. This timely decision helped the team avoid unnecessary danger and delays.
Dragon is said to be a high-action film. Actress Rukmini Vasanth is playing the female lead, while Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas is reportedly playing the antagonist. The film was announced in 2021 but faced several delays, which led to rumors that it might be shelved. However, the latest updates confirm that the movie is very much on track.
