Every storm has its noise before it settles, and that’s pretty much where Prashanth Neel stands right now. The man behind KGF and Salaar is dealing with his toughest film yet, Dragon with Jr. NTR. Buzz in the industry is that Neel has scrapped a few scenes that were already shot, and that was enough to send NTR fans into panic mode. This one’s not just another action film, it’s an important moment for NTR, who’s aiming to join that top 5 box-office club. After RRR and Devara, fans want this film to be his big solo hit, something that screams national level.
The Telugu big league isn’t easy to crack. Prabhas set a crazy standard with Baahubali 2, and Allu Arjun is ready to take over with Pushpa 2. Somewhere in between, NTR is trying to carve his own thunder. The tricky part is, RRR was more of a Rajamouli triumph than an NTR-only show. So now, it’s Neel’s turn to give him that one defining, unstoppable moment. No pressure, right?
Meanwhile, NTR has gone all in for this one. He’s apparently dropped a lot of weight, down to around 60 kilos, living on a one-meal-a-day routine and serious workouts. The sudden change has everyone talking, some impressed, others a bit worried. Fans are just hoping all this effort means something big on screen.
Dragon, with NTR and Rukmini Vasanth in lead roles, has music by Ravi Basrur and is said to be a two-part story under Mythri Movie Makers. Now that shooting’s back on track, everyone’s just waiting to see if this fire-and-smoke phase ends in a bang. If it does, Neel and NTR might just rewrite how mass cinema looks again.
