Jr. NTR Brings Pushpa Writer Into Dragon

The fire around Jr. NTR’s next big project, Dragon, just got hotter. Directed by KGF and Salaar mastermind Prashanth Neel, the film is being crafted as a high-stakes action spectacle. With Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth joining as the female lead, and production handled by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, expectations are soaring after the massive success of Devara.

But the script didn’t click on the first go. Sources say Jr. NTR wasn’t fully convinced with the initial story pitch. Even after a couple of rewrites by Prashanth Neel’s team, Tarak remained unconvinced. That’s when a new name entered the conversation  Nagendra Kasi, a rising writer who has contributed to Pushpa 2 and Ram Charan’s upcoming Peddi. His new take on the storyline finally hit the mark with both NTR and Neel.

Neel, known for his strongly narrating style, was supposedly inspired by how Kasi adjusted and refined the central story. With the script presently bolted, the venture is moving at full pace. Malayalam star Tovino Thomas is on board for a pivotal role, and the background score is being shaped by KGF composer Ravi Basrur  adding even more weight to the film’s already stacked crew.

Dragon is eyeing a worldwide release on June 25, 2026. With modern ability boosting the composing and a power-packed team behind the scenes, the film is forming up to be more than fair, another mass performer. For fans of NTR and Prashanth Neel, this might just be the collaboration that conveys something past desires.
