Neel Beats Rajamouli To Become NTR Fans' Fav?

The hype around Jr NTR’s Dragon is reaching another level after the glimpse launch. Especially among the NTR fans, director Prashanth Neel is suddenly being celebrated like a demigod. In fact, social media is flooded with statements claiming Neel has now become more loved among NTR fans than even S. S. Rajamouli. But is that really true?

Well, the big question is, can one glimpse and one film announcement suddenly erase the emotional connection fans built with Rajamouli over two decades? That feels highly unlikely. Because Rajamouli is not just another director in NTR’s filmography. He is literally one of the biggest reasons behind NTR’s evolution as a mass star and performer.When NTR was still searching for his commercial footing early in his career, it was Rajamouli who gave him Student No. 1, his first major commercial breakthrough as a solo hero. At that stage, that film completely changed the graph of NTR’s career. Then came Yamadonga, which again reinvented NTR in a fresh mass-commercial space and proved his versatility in handling fantasy, comedy and emotion together.

His performance as Komaram Bheem became one of the most celebrated Indian performances internationally. Only because of that RRR impact, a film like Devara that earned poor reviews from critics, has collected more than 500 crores. So emotionally, Rajamouli occupies a very different space among NTR fans.

Dragon Glimpse might have impressed mightily, but that doesn’t mean fans changed their loyalty.
