Jr. NTR has hit pause on one major project to focus on another, and it’s all part of a carefully timed plan. After completing two high-paced schedules of Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel, the actor is stepping away from the shoot temporarily. The reason? War 2, his Bollywood debut alongside Hrithik Roshan, is gearing up for a global promotional blitz ahead of its August 14 release.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji and backed by Yash Raj Films, War 2 is one of the most talked-about action thrillers this year. With NTR making his first move into the Hindi market, the team is going all in on marketing, and that means the actor will be unavailable for Neel’s sets for at least a month. This gap has prompted Prashanth Neel to rework the Dragon shoot schedule and focus on scenes that don’t involve Tarak for now.

Dragon is being shaped into a large-scale action drama, with Neel promising visuals and sequences on a scale that rivals his past work in KGF and Salaar. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, the film also stars Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead. Despite the short pause, the makers are confident in maintaining momentum and delivering as per schedule.

In a rare scenario where a break feels like a power move, NTR is balancing two massive projects with precise timing. While War 2 aims to win over the North, Dragon is already heating up expectations in the South and together, they mark a phase where the actor’s pan-India reach is truly taking shape.
