Popular social satire drama Dhandoraa, which received positive reviews during its theatrical release is now streaming on OTT. The film recently grabbed fresh attention after star actor Jr NTR shared his thoughts on the movie through social media by praising both its content and performances.
After watching the film on OTT, Jr NTR took to Twitter and wrote that Dhandoraa is deeply thought provoking and powerful. He appreciated the strong performances delivered by Sivaji garu, Navdeep, Nandu, Ravi Krishna and Bindu Madhavi stating that all the actors carried their roles with conviction throughout the film.
“Congratulations to the entire cast and crew for supporting and being part of such a remarkable film. According to him, executing such a socially relevant story in an impactful manner is not easy, and the director deserves full credit for presenting it so honestly. He further congratulated producer Ravindra Banerjee garu for backing a bold and content-driven project, and extended his wishes to the entire cast and crew for being part of such a remarkable film,” he added.
Dhandoraa was released in theatres on December 25, 2025, and opened to encouraging word of mouth. The film tells its story across two timelines. One part is set in 2004 and focuses on a love story between a privileged-caste girl and an oppressed-caste boy. Despite the boy being financially well-settled, the relationship is rejected due to caste differences, leading to conflicts and tragic consequences within the village.
The present-day timeline revolves around Sivaji’s character, a powerful landlord whose death brings buried secrets to the surface. His strained relationship with his son Vishnu, played by Nandu and the role of the village sarpanch portrayed by Navdeep. As the story unfolds, shocking truths emerge, raising serious questions about society and power.
The film is now streaming on Prime Video from January 14. Viewers who missed it in theatres can now watch Dhandoraa at home and experience this intense drama.
