RR May Take Until 2030 or 2031

The combination of Jr NTR that is Rama Rao and SS Rajamouli has always created huge excitement among Telugu cinema fans. Now, social media is once again discussing whether the two stars can come together for another film. Jr NTR and Rajamouli have already worked together multiple times, including the blockbuster RRR. But a new movie between them may not happen anytime soon.

The biggest reason is their busy schedules.Jr NTR currently has several interesting projects in his lineup. His immediate project is Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel. The film has now been announced for a theatrical release on June 11, 2027. After that, Jr NTR is set to work with Trivikram Srinivas again. The project was officially announced in June 2026, with the makers teasing a story connected to Lord Muruga.

With these projects, Jr NTR's dates are likely to remain occupied for the next few years. If these films take considerable time in production and post-production, his next commitments could push his availability even further.

Rajamouli also has a long road ahead. He is currently working on Varanasi, starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film is scheduled to release on April 7, 2027.

Rajamouli had earlier revealed that around 80 days of shooting were still pending, showing how large the production is.

More importantly, Rajamouli's films usually take several years because of their large scale, extensive shooting and post-production work. So even after Varanasi, his next project could take considerable time.

Because of this, a Rajamouli-Jr NTR film may be possible, but it is difficult to expect it immediately. If both filmmakers and actors want to reunite, their dates have to match first.

Considering their present commitments, 2030 or 2031 could be a possible window for such a reunion, but this is only a timeline estimate based on their currently known projects, not an officially announced release plan.
