Jr NTR has successfully undergone shoulder surgery after suffering an injury while shooting for his upcoming film Dragon. The actor underwent the procedure at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Wednesday morning. He is now recovering in the hospital, with his family and cousins by his side.

The news of the surgery was shared by Jr NTR’s team on Tuesday evening. They had earlier informed fans that the actor would need medical treatment for his shoulder injury. The latest update has brought some relief to his fans, who have been worried about his health.

Jr NTR reportedly injured his shoulder in late July while filming a heavy action sequence for Dragon. The accident happened during a recent shooting schedule of the film, which is being directed by Prashanth Neel.

After the injury, Jr NTR underwent detailed medical tests. Doctors initially advised him to take complete rest for around six to eight weeks. The medical team wanted the actor to give enough time for his shoulder to recover before returning to intense action scenes.

However, considering the nature of the injury and the demanding action sequences in Dragon, surgery was later decided to be the safer option. The procedure has now been completed successfully.

Jr NTR is expected to return to the sets around the last week of September, depending on his recovery and rehabilitation. The actor is reportedly keen to complete his pending work without affecting the film’s schedule.

Dragon is planned for a theatrical release on June 11, 2027. Since the film has many action-heavy sequences, Jr NTR may have longer shooting schedules after he returns.

Meanwhile, the team has continued filming other portions of the movie with actors including Anil Kapoor. The makers are expected to plan Jr NTR’s scenes based on his health and recovery.
