For years, rumors swirled that Suriya’s family didn’t want her to work after marriage, especially since she took a long break from films. However, Jyothika recently cleared the air.
“Most people assumed that Suriya and his family didn’t want me to work after marriage, but that wasn’t true,” she revealed. “Though I had made my intentions clear, it was always Suriya who was being asked about my return to films.”
She also shared how Suriya would often get messages whenever her old films aired on TV. “People would text him saying, ‘Jo’s film is on TV. She’s done a fabulous job, why don’t you let her act?’ And immediately, Suriya would forward those messages to me,” she recalled.
